Mike Ward has been an active part of the Irmo community since 2016 and has served in local leadership roles since 2018. He currently chairs the Irmo Okra Strut Commission, helping coordinate one of the town’s most cherished annual events. He also serves as Chair of the School Improvement Council at Dutch Fork Elementary and has held key leadership positions in the South Carolina PTA, including Vice President of Advocacy. With a track record of showing up, listening, and working collaboratively, Mike has built trust across a wide range of community organizations.
Professionally, Mike brings over 20 years of experience as a small business owner in the technology and cybersecurity field. He leads two local companies: Turtle Creek Concepts and Tech for Older Adults. These businesses focus on protecting small businesses from cyber threats and helping older adults stay connected and safe online. As President of the InfraGard South Carolina Members Alliance, Mike also works closely with the FBI to help protect critical infrastructure across the state. His combined experience in public service and business leadership gives him a unique, practical perspective to serve Irmo well.
